Nest
The nest is a symbolic work about parenting. The cut texts refer to the cut-up method developed
by Brion Gysin and popularized by William Burroughs. Nest is made from pieces of various books - parenting guides. Some books deal with the parenting of closeness and others are about how to be a mother and at the same time achieve a career, how to love children and raise them etc. Brion Gysin believed that thanks to the method of cut-up from cut sentences, a new body of wisdom emerges, a new entity is resurrected. Similarly, parents being bombarded with advices from close relatives, cultural copies, norms, guides, and expectations, finally, letting the voice come to their own intuition. You can approach the nest and make your own history, your own body of the language. Write a new story about the nurture of your inner child.
